YOUNGN'S
The Youngn's class is offered to children who are two years old by September 1st. The class meets two sessions per week, each session being two hours in length. Children enjoy creative play, a theme-based lesson, and a small group activity during each class session. Our goal is to promote social interactions, and expose the children to a variety of age-appropriate activities, so they may enjoy the many successes needed to create a positive first-time classroom experience. These goals help promote a true love of learning for the youngest children in our school.

MIDDIES
The Middies program is geared for children who are three years old by September 1st. A session is three hours long, either two or three days a week. The children are involved with painting, arts and crafts, theme related activities and discussions, which enhance their fine and gross motor skills. A variety of play opportunities to promote self-awareness and generate self-confidence are provided daily. The main goal of our Middie program is to foster positive separation from home into a loving, caring and nuturing educational environment.

PreK
Children in our PreK program will experience readiness activities that are developmentally appropriate for each child. We recognize that everyone is at their own level of self-confidence and acquired motor skills. We present activities that continue to develop letter and number understanding, increased control of crayons and markers, printing readiness, music rhythms, and a grasp of simple science topics that affect their world.

Children need to be eager to learn and play in a comfortable peer environment. Our school's environment encourages them to think for themselves, thus building self-esteem to do and try new opportunities for learning.

TK (Transitional Kindergarten)
The TK program is open to children who are age-appropriate for their school districts Kindergarten program. Families may choose either five half or five full days. Many of our TK children need this additional year to further develop social, emotional and/or academic skills prior to entering Kindergarten. This "gift of time" assists children in becoming more confident as they move to their next eductional setting. Our TK classroom environment encourages:

  • Children's interests and preferences as well as program goals and objectives

  • Opportunities that include both familiar and new activities so that children know they are in a safe environment and can take risks
